This semi-antique Agra carpet from northern India has an abstract geometric pattern based on Caucasian Kazaks, but with a palette of ivory, blues and black, without the bold reds and yellows of Caucasian rugs. The pile is erect and firm and all the complexities of the design are crisply rendered.
